Where is the Rationality?

Where is the rationality or reason in the hearts and minds of our leaders in government? Did certain unwonted acts of nature occur to cloud their judgement in this war against Islam? Did some celestial bodies cross paths to cause them to despise their duty to protect our nation from our enemies? Why are certain Senators bent on hindering the President as he tries to get certain legislation through Congress. Legislation that would clarify how these terrorists can be interrogated without anyone wetting their pants over it. How they can be properly tried by way of military tribunals. At the same  time trying to stay in accordance with Geneva Convention.

Of course, we know our current enemies are not too concerned about all that as far as how they treat prisoners. They're not concerned about what rules to follow. Their interpretation is simple. It has been seen readily throughout  the course of  this war. Torture and kill.

Sometime ago, I was reading an excellent article which I believe was titled The Parallel lslamic Universe. I forgot the name of the author, but it I read it on the Worldnet Daily website. Taking off from the Fox newsreporter Steve Centani's forced conversion to Islam,  His premise was that the media had already "converted" to Islam simply from watching a few beheadings. Emphasizing the fact that the media was readily weary or afraid of calling a spade a spade (my words), especially when a Muslim would carry out an attack on American soil. Such as the attacks in Seattle and San Fran.

Not too long ago the police captured Warren Jeffs, the man wanted for arranging marriages between older men and underaged girls as was one of  the charges. This had happened at the same time as that Muslim running down people in San Fran. Which story do you think was brought to the forefront, got the most attention? Need I say more? I can only surmise that the media was looking for another David Koresh type of situation as this man Jeffs was also a cult leader. They were probably disappointed by the fact that he had been captured and that we were not going to witness another bloody, last stand conflagration a la Waco.

I'm sure something like that will eventually happen again, but we know in our heart of hearts where our enemy readily lies much to the consternation of those who would like to see America's demise. As long as we continue to excuse this aberrant behavior, then America's shores are not forlong in a blessed state. We can anticipate the forlorn crescent moon.

Oh, oh. Another person has gotten in trouble for hurting the poor Muslim's feelings. Pope Benedict is in trouble for supposedly making some disparaging remarks about Mohammed and Islam. He was quoting from a Byzantine emperor of  longtime past something about that how wrong it is to try to convert people through the sword as Mohammed was want to do. Of course, we know the drill. I wasn't long until we saw the marches, the waving of fists, and the chants of death to whoever. Though I did not personally see it, I heard that there were guns being fired and that the Pope was being burned in effigy. That's par for the course.

On a side note, I heard one of the most assinine statements ever utterred by an anchor. Brian Williams of the NBC Nightly News was broadcasting live from Havana, Cuba. He was there to cover the meeting of the non-aligned nations or in other words, America' s enemies. Anyway, he worked in the point that Fidel Castro had outlasted nine US presidents.

Are you kidding? Of course, he outlasted all those presidents. When was the last time Castro was elected or ran for reelection. That is a statement bordering on the absurd. You might as well tell me that the sky is blue, that grass is green, or that water is wet.

Farewell, farewell. I have sailed my course for now. Goodnight sweet miss.
